MASON TODAY · PROTOTYPE POLICY

Privacy

Draft for legal review before public launch. Updated September 7, 2026.

Information you choose to share

We store your email address and subscription preference when you request The Mason Weekend. It is a Thursday local guide; the signup does not bundle unrelated marketing. Earlier subscription records remain stored, but only explicit Weekend consent is eligible for this product. Delivery is not active in this prototype.

Event suggestions include event details and your contact email. Correction reports include your report, optional source link, optional contact email, and the associated item when provided. Sponsor inquiries include business and contact details. These submissions enter private owner review; contact details are not published on consumer pages. Verified event information may be used to correct or create a public listing.

Operation and service providers

Information is stored in the application database. Authorized administrators can access it to operate the guide, review submissions and respond to requests. When email delivery is configured, the selected provider will process recipient addresses and message content. No production email provider is connected in this prototype. Deployment providers and their processing terms must be disclosed before launch.

Cookies and measurement

The application uses an authenticated session cookie for owner sign-in. Public intake forms use signed anti-spam tokens and short-lived hashed submission receipts. No advertising cookies, tracking pixels or consumer analytics are implemented here. Hosting logs may record technical requests once a host is configured; review that host’s practices before launch.

Retention and choices

We retain subscription preferences, submissions and review history to operate the guide and preserve correction provenance. There is not yet an automatic retention/deletion schedule. Anti-spam receipts are pruned after two days during intake. Ask the owner to review or delete your personal information using the private report form. Minimal unsubscribe records may need to remain to prevent unwanted re-enrollment. Delivered emails will include an unsubscribe link; repeat signup does not override an unsubscribe.

Do not submit private information about children or other people unless necessary and appropriate for review. Original event links lead to independent sites with their own privacy practices.

Questions, privacy/deletion requests or copyright concerns? Use the private report form and describe your request. Include a reply address if you want follow-up. Do not send sensitive identity documents.
